Become an ally: Be recognized as the ones that didn’t stay quiet and took part in pushing for more conversations about disability, inclusion and accessibility

Want to support this project and get even more eyes on it? This year we've created a poster that we're distributing around the city to bring awareness to Disability Pride and increase representation of people with disabilities in the images we see around us.

Sponsorships can be as simple as:

Financial Support:

A financial contribution to help cover printing and displaying the posters around Vancouver. Each poster costs $1 to print and post on the street where it is legal to do so.

Want to support the project in some way but can’t afford a poster package? All money donated towards the project will go into printing and distributing costs so every little helps.

When paying for this at checkout it registers it as a “giftcard.” Your giftcard can not be used for any future purchases, it just is a way for us to create smaller amount products using our online site and for you to support this current project financially.

The Small Print:

We want to be as transparent as possible when it comes to money. So far the project has been funded by Tilly Nelson Photo. The project has come together as a collaboration between individuals in the disabled community, wardrobe stylists, make up artists, videographers, producers and a lot more people! Everyone has come together to work for free. Tilly Nelson Photo has covered the cost of equipment hire, studio hire, food, product and invested hours of time to make this come to light. The cost of the project so far is approximately $700. We have detailed receipts itemizing this breakdown and are open to sharing these.

The cost to print and distribute 500 18x24” posters across Vancouver is $1400 using The Poster Guy - A local company that has been postering Vancouver for over 20 years. The posters will remain up for approximately 2 and a half weeks. Currently Tilly Nelson Photo is covering this cost but we’re looking for support. Our goal is to be able to poster the city and so all donations will go towards adding more and more posters to the city. If we reach $4200 raised, that will cover 1500 posters across July and mean that the posters stay visible throughout the whole month. If we reach $5000 raised we will pause donations. Any additional money raised will then be discussed with businesses and we can either return the donation or discuss whether additional posters could be purchased or whether the funds could go towards another project focused on the disabled community.

At no point is anyone involved making profit from donations or being paid for their time. All receipts and paperwork will be available to anyone that donated.
